The historic site underwent a major overhaul two years ago after being destroyed in the 2007 wildfires.

The Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead, which provides a glimpse into 1880s life for modern-day residents, is celebrating two years since a major restoration on Sunday.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., people can engage in a number of historic and family-friendly activities:

  • Period crafts.
  • Marble making.
  • Candle rolling.
  • Laundry the old fashioned way.
  • Hand-led pony and donkey rides by Party Pony Express.
  • Tour of the remodeled homestead.

Visitors will be able to learn about the Sikes Family and life in 1880s Bernardo. The farmstead was damaged during the 2007 wildfires, but was restored two years ago.
