Ramp Closure to Affect Traffic on I-15 Next Week

A ramp construction project will require several overnight closures of a roughly mile-long stretch of Interstate 15 in Mira Mesa and Scripps Ranch next week, Caltrans advised today.
Weather permitting, crews will shut down the freeway between Mira Mesa Boulevard and Carroll Canyon Road from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on at least two consecutive nights, starting Sunday, according to Hayden Manning, a spokesman for the state agency. Traffic will be detoured around the area on city streets.
The closures will allow workers to build a connector between a planned Miramar College transit station and I-15 express lanes via Hillery Drive, Manning said.
