SDSU Earns No. 2 Seed in NCAA Tournament, to Face Northern Colorado

The Aztecs men's basketball team won its conference championship on Saturday after beating Brigham Young University.

San Diego State University's men's basketball team will face off against the University of Northern Colorado in its first game of the NCAA tournament as a No. 2 seed, it was announced Sunday.

The Aztecs will play the No. 15 seeded Bears on Thursday at the McKale Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ in the West region of the bracket. The Aztecs finished the regular season with a 32-2 record and beat Brigham Young University 72-54 for the Mountain West Conference championship on Saturday. BYU had previously beaten SDSU this season.

Northern Colorado, champion of the Big Sky Conference, finished the season with a 21-10 record and will be making its first trip ever to the NCAA tournament.
