RB High Library Friends Honor ‘Extraordinary Leader’

Linda Gannon, president of the RB High Friends of the Library, has been named volunteer of the year.

The National Volunteer Month honors keep coming! This time it's Linda Gannon, president of the Friends of the Library.

The announcement:

Rancho Bernardo High School Friends of the Library, President, Linda Gannon, was officially recognized as RBHS' Outstanding Volunteer for 2011-12. Paul Robinson, Principal and Teresa Palzkill, Assistant Principal presented her with flowers at the RBHS FOL general membership meeting held April 11.

Linda has served as the FOL President for the past three years.  Under her direction, the FOL provided more than $75,000 to the RBHS Library. Through her hard work and her participation in multiple events, the RBHS FOL restored some essential library staffing and has provided funds for new library books and numerous electronic resources.

Linda donates on average over 20 hours per week to RBHS FOL activities alone. Linda is an extraordinary leader and an energetic doer. Linda will again be honored by a large audience at the RBHS year-end meeting to be held in the RBHS Multipurpose room on June 8 at 8 a.m.
