  • Resolution to sell the water tower site (Item D-301): Rancho Bernardo residents have been asking the board to work with the City of San Diego to turn the site, about 11 acres of land at 16061 Avenida Venusto, into a park. But according to the agenda, the city has not been in touch with the district since July and district officials are now moving forward with a vote on a resolution to open up the property to bids. • Investigation into billion-dollar bond controversy: Superintedent John Collins is expected to announce the results of an independent investigation into the Capital Appreciation Bonds (CABs) sold to finance school fixes that now have local taxpayers on the hook for nearly $1 billion. District officials have been hushed about the details of the investigation and, according to a Voice of San Diego report, are going to go into further detail about the report during a later special meeting. The agenda mentions an upcoming special meeting for 4 p.m. Wednesday about the "legislative platform."
