RB Post Office Honors ‘Everyday Heroes’

The post office is offering special greeting cards with "Americana" imagery.

The United States Postal Service is celebrating "everyday heroes" with a new line of greeting cards now available at the Rancho Bernardo office.

The "Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes" line features eight designs with Americana imagery and sentiments such as "Freedom is so rarely free."

"Americans tend to live very busy lives," said Janet Coson, marketing manager for the San Diego district, in a statement. "But sometimes we just have to stop and take a few moments to thank the everyday heroes who make this nation great."

The post office said the cards are ideal for military personnel, public servants, first responders such as police and firefighters, medical professionals, teachers, volunteers, parents and others.

The cards are $2.95 each.

Regarding Patch's response to this comment: A 'typo' is when someone hits the wrong key on theRead More keyboard, like typing "Democrut" or "Demacrat." Calling a Democrat a Republican is a MISTAKE and party affiliation is very easy to check check these days. Maybe this is just a "blog," I'm not sure. But if it's a "news site", and the people writing stories are purporting to be "journalists" or "reporters" could easily do better and should do so. Let's not minimize a factual error in a "news" story as a "typo."
