RB Planning Board Preview: Urban Agriculture Ordinance

The board will consider changes to the city's policies about farmers markets, bee, chickens, goats and more.

The Rancho Bernardo Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Oaks North Community Center, 12578 Oaks North Dr.

Here's a look at the agenda (The full agenda is attached):

  • Urban agriculture ordinance: The board, which is an arm of the city of San Diego, is being asked to vote on supporting proposed revisions to the city's urban agriculture ordinance that includes new guidelines for retail farms, farmers markets, chickens, goats, community gardens and beekeeping. Copies of the proposals are attached to this story.
  • Website: George Cooke, who oversees a number of community websites, is to present about the Planning Board site.
