RB Planning Board Agenda: Regional Transportation and Officers

The Planning Board's monthly meeting, which could include discussion of the welcome sign, is set for 7 p.m.

The Rancho Bernardo Planning Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Oaks North Community Center, 12578 Oaks North Dr.

On the agenda:

  • 2050 Regional Transportation Plan: Linda Culp, from the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), is scheduled to discuss the plan for changes in biking, transit and pedestrian access. The public review and comment period for the plan's Environmental Impact Report runs through Aug. 1. An executive summary of the EIR is attached to this story.
  • Bylaws Committee: Board Chairman Teri Denlinger will present members of the administrative board to be on an adhoc bylaws committee that reports to the larger board.
  • Parliamentarian: The board will vote on removing the parliamentarian position because it is not an official position in the board's bylaws. In recent months, Parliamentarian Joe Dirks has raised a number of issues with meeting procedure, including possibly improperly adding items to the agenda.
  • New representative: Tiffany Leal, the new community representative from San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio's office, is expected to make her first appearance at a Planning Board meeting since taking over for Jack Straw last month. Straw announced his departure to Councilwoman Lorie Zapf's office at the June meeting.

Other possible discussion items: welcome sign; .
