RB Council to Hold Special Welcome Sign Meeting

The council is scheduled to vote on the latest welcome sign design recommendation.

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council is scheduled to hold a special meeting Wednesday to vote on the latest in a long series of designs for the new welcome sign.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the Seven Oaks Community Center, 16789 Bernardo Oaks Dr.

The Council will only be voting on one design—that which was created from the suggestions of Maintenance and Assessment District (MAD) Committee members last week. It blends elements of the various designs put forward during the welcome sign process.

Council President Robin Kaufman said she called the special meeting to expedite the welcome sign process, and prevent the regular meeting later this month from dragging on due to discussion of the issue.
