RB Council Preview: Welcome Sign, Eagle Scout

The council is expected to vote on a new design for the community's welcome sign.

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council is set to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Oaks North Community Center, 12578 Oaks North Dr.

Here's a look at what's on the agenda:

  • Welcome/Community Sign: The council is expected to vote on the latest design for the welcome sign, which is now being referred to as the "community sign." The new design, by Planning Board member John Woods, has already been approved by the RB Planning Board, and the council's Maintenance and Assessment District committee. The selection process has gone through many stages, from online polling to volunteer committees. The council is the final community group that must approve the design before it moves on to the city. For a history of the project, see the Welcome Sign Page.
  • Special Eagle Scout Presentation: From the agenda: "Yash Hulgal, Eagle Scout from Troop 667, will present information on the Virtual Trail Project he developed for the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve www.PQcanyon.com."
