RB Council Preview: Burn Prevention

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in a new location.

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in a new location: the Oaks North Community Center, 12578 Oaks North Dr.

Here's a look at what's on the agenda:

  • Burn Institute Presentation: James Floros, executive director/CEO, of the Burn Institute will talk about the organization's services to educate the public about and prevent burns.
  • Voting Items: Maintenance and Assessment District budget; New website; Participating in Hats Off to Volunteers in April; Election Committee; Suspending High Speed Rail Coalition in light of state problems; Vacancy in District F.
  • Mayoral Debate Update: The council has been coordinating with the Rancho Peñasquitos Town Council to set up an April debate in RB or PQ with the top four candidates: Councilman Carl DeMaio; District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis; Rep. Bob Filner; Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher.
