RB Council Extends Candidacy Deadline

Applicants now have until May 19 to apply.

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council has extended to May 19 its application deadline for candidates in this year's election. The original deadline had been April 30, but there had only been a handful of applicants.

The council voted unanimously at Thursday's meeting to extend the deadline.

Voting takes place the last few weeks of May through RB Alive!, scheduled for June 3.

Here's how to apply:

If you are a resident of Rancho Bernardo and are interested in participating in community issues, this is the perfect time. The Rancho Bernardo Community Council, which deals with all quality of life issues in the community, is seeking new members. This all volunteer, 20 member organization deals with such issues as maintaining our medians and welcome sign, public safety, government relations, utilities, traffic, code compliance, graffiti, and more. Some adhoc committees have included initiation of the fire station renovation, utility box painting, battery recycling, water issues, community clean ups, and an annual sidewalk chalk event. If you are interested in running for a position on the RanchoCommunity Council, you can download a declaration of candidacy form by clicking here.
