RB Community Council Still Seeking Applicants

Ten spots are open this election year for the local, volunteer organization.

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council is still seeking applicants for new members.

The group said a total of ten positions are up for election this year, with spots open in District A, B, C, D, E, F and G. As of now, only five applications have been submitted, with none yet for District F.

  • Resident of Rancho Bernardo
  • 18 years or older
  • Interest in participating in community issues

According to the Rancho Bernardo Community Council, the organization "deals with all quality of life issues in the community." They are an an all-volunteer, 20 member organization that oversee issues like:

  • medians and welcome signs
  • public safety
  • government relations
  • utilities
  • traffic
  • code compliance
  • graffiti

"Some adhoc committees have included initiation of the fire station renovation, utility box painting, battery recycling, water issues, high speed rail, community clean ups, and an annual sidewalk chalk event," the organization said.

Deadline to submit is 11:59 p.m. on April 30.
