Photos: Kaufman Receives ‘Woman of the Year’ Honors in Sacramento

Rancho Bernardo's Robin Kaufman was honored in the state capital Monday as the Woman of the Year from Assembly District 75.

Rancho Bernardo resident Robin Kaufman was honored by Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher (R-San Diego) during a special ceremony in Sacramento on Monday as the "Woman of the Year" in state assembly District 75.

Kaufman heads the Rancho Bernardo Community Council and was chosen for her work on programs that "provide greater public safety, better education and schools, and a better sense of community," Fletcher said in announcing her selection.

The annual ceremony brings together women from across the state, and Kaufman on Tuesday said she was amazed at the work the honorees are doing in their communities.
