Marijuana, Auto Theft and Elections on RB Council Agenda Tonight

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council is set to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the RB Library, 17110 Bernardo Center Dr. on the second floor.

On the agenda:

• Marijuana: In-progress changes to the city's medical marijuana dispensary policy have left many facilities in limbo, including a the newly opened MediBloom dispensary near Webb Park. Narcotics police officers and city code enforcement officers have been working together to notify dispensaries that they need to close down until the city has finalized its policies. Officer Susan Steffen is scheduled to discuss the issue at Thursday's meeting.
• Auto Theft: The meeting's guest speaker is Matthew Weathersby, a reitred San Diego police officer who will talk about auto theft in San Diego.
• Elections:The deadline to join the race for the RB Community Council and the RB Recreation Council is Saturday. Applications can be found here. The groups are looking to get new voices at the table.
