Last Chance: Deadline Tuesday to Vote by Mail

To vote by mail in the June 5 primary, your request must be in by Tuesday.

If you simply want to head to the mailbox, and not to the polls, to vote in the June 5 primary, Tuesday is the deadline to get your application in.

Here's what you need to do:

  • Download the vote by mail application from the San Diego County Registrar of Voters Office here or fill out the application on the back of the sample ballot previously mailed to voters. You can also make a written request signed by the voter with: voter's name, residence address, name and date of election for which mail ballot is being requested and the address where the ballot will be mailed.
  • Fax (858-694-2955) or hand deliver (5201 Ruffin Rd., Suite I, in Kearny Mesa) the application or written request to the Registrar's Office by 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 29. It is too late to mail the application, as it needs to be physically received at the office by the deadline. A Tuesday postmark will not count.
