DeMaio to Talk Seniors' Needs at Education Seminar

The councilman has partnered with local senior organizations to provide information about caregiving and independent living.

San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio will be in Ranch Bernardo this week for an education seminar about the needs of local seniors and their caregivers.

From 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, the councilman and 18 senior organizations will be on hand at the Rancho Bernardo Glassman Recreation Center, 18448 West Bernardo Dr., for "Back to Basics: Caregiving 101."

"The Senior community has been a vital partner in my district, particularly with help volunteering and serving the community," DeMaio said in an email about the event. "It is important to me that we provide District 5's seniors with the information necessary to make important decisions about the [future]."
