DeMaio Launches Mayoral Campaign at RB Alive!
The councilman announced his run before a crowd of supporters in the Vons shopping center.
San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio announced his run for mayor at the Vons shopping center following the end of the RB Alive! Expo on Sunday.
DeMaio is up against Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, of District 75, and District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis so far. The councilman said part of what separates him from other candidates is his Roadmap to Recovery budget plan which outlines how managed competition, pension reform and other measures can fix the city's fiscal crisis.
