Bilingual Poll Workers Needed in Rancho Penasquitos
The county is looking for people who also speak Chinese and Vietnamese to work on Election Day.
County officials are looking for bilingual workers to help out on the Nov. 6 Election Day, especially those who speak Chinese, Filipino and Vietnamese and can help in Rancho Peñasquitos. A full list of the needed languages and areas where workers are needed to help is below. Poll workers do not need to live in the areas where they would be working.
About poll workers, according to a county news release:
Poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $75 to $175 depending on the assignment and those who are bilingual receive an additional $15 if they are assigned to provide language assistance to voters.

Poll workers must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the State of California and have transportation to their assigned polling location. Depending on the job assignment, they may also need access to the Internet to complete an online training and attend a two-hour class.
