Street Sweeper Overturns on I-15

Two southbound lanes were blocked after a Chevy hit the street sweeper. No injuries were reported.

A street sweeper crashed and overturned on Interstate 15 in Rancho Bernardo Saturday morning and blocked two southbound lanes, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A brown Chevrolet and the sweeper truck tangled near Camino Del Norte shortly after 8 a.m., according to the CHP reports. The Chevrolet stopped on the roadside, but the sweeper flipped and blocked the left lanes.

A CHP dispatcher said she did not know if the sweeper was operated by Caltrans or some other company or agency.
