Preliminary Hearing Postponed for PQ Man Accused of Murder

Rancho Peñasquitos resident Miles B. Sharp is charged with murder in the Sept. 20, 2012, death of one-time 4S Ranch resident Dillon Davis.

A preliminary hearing was postponed Wednesday until Sept. 17 for two men charged in the slaying of a 20-year-old man whose badly burned body was found in the trunk of a torched sedan near Jamul.

Devin Frances Gaillard of Tierrasanta and Rancho Peñasquitos resident Miles B. Sharp, both 22, are charged with murder in the Sept. 20, 2012, death of one-time 4S Ranch resident Dillon Davis.

A third person, Quincy B. Sharp, is charged with being an accessory to a crime. Her relationship to Miles Sharp has not been made public.

Firefighters found Davis' remains after extinguishing a predawn car fire in the 16200 block of Skyline Truck Trail. Authorities described the defendants and victim as acquaintances but have withheld Davis' cause of death and the suspected motive.
