Police Warn About Swim Club Sticky Fingers

Car break-ins have occurred at facilities such as tennis clubs, swim clubs, gyms and training centers.

San Diego police are warning residents to roll up their car windows and lock up valuables in the trunk after several break-ins at community recreational facilities.

The incidents have occurred at facilities such as tennis clubs, swim clubs, gyms and training centers, according to a post on the San Diego Police Department Northeastern Division's Facebook page.

"Subjects are breaking windows of secured vehicles and taking items from inside of the passenger compartment. Please remember to secure your vehicle, roll up windows and remove all valuables from your inside," the post stated. "Secure these items in your trunk prior to arriving to your destination or take them with you and secure them in a locker. Be aware of your surroundings; call the police if you see anyone suspicious in the area."
