Body in Burned Car May Be 4S Ranch Man

The body of a 20-year-old man was found in the trunk of a burned-out car last Thursday.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner has released the name of the victim whose body was found was found inside the trunk of a burned-out car in Jamul.

He was Dillon A. Davis, 20, whose last known place of residence was the community of 4S Ranch, according to Lt. Glenn Giannantonio, of the San Diego Sheriff's  Homicide Detail.

Firefighters found Davis' body shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday, after they put out the car fire in the 16200 block of Skyline Truck Trail, sheriff's officials said. Homicide and Bomb/Arson investigators were called to the scene.
