Mountain Health Breaks Ground on Landmark Campo Health Center

Mountain Health, a private, non-profit regional community health center dedicated to quality health care, health education and community services will break ground for the new Campo Health Center on Saturday, July 26, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at 1388 Buckman Springs Road, Campo, CA 91906, near the corner of Buckman Springs Road and Highway 94. 

 

The Campo Health Center is a 23,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility that will serve as the medical home and safety net for essential healthcare services for the Mountain Empire community.  The health center will offer an array of medical services including primary care, radiology, dentistry, optometry, behavioral health and pharmacy.

Judith Shaplin, CEO of Mountain Health, stated, “Since 1977, Mountain Health has provided high quality, comprehensive compassionate primary health care to the people in our communities regardless of their ability to pay. We serve these communities and adjoining regions with respect, dignity and cultural sensitivity as a medical home and safety net for essential health care and social services. The Campo Health Center is a significant hub for modern healthcare services for the entire Mountain Empire region.”

The Campo Health Center will continue Mountain Health’s mission to meet the comprehensive health needs of men, women, children, adolescents, teens, senior citizens and those at risk of developing serious diseases such as diabetes.

“Without these and similar programs, many of the residents in our region would have difficulty obtaining professional medical care,” said Shaplin.
