Letter: Support Military Appreciation Month

The RB Community Council is helping collect donations for the nation's service members.

Dear Editor,

May is Military Appreciation Month. San Diego is home to several thousand active military personnel and their families. To show appreciation for their service and ultimate sacrifice for our country, Assemblyman [Nathan] Fletcher has been joined by several community partners, including the Rancho Bernardo Community Council, to collect items which can be sent to our military personnel. Please join the “We Care for the Troops” Care Package Drive. Your generous donations of any items listed below will go a long way for active duty servicemen and women who often rely on items from home.

You may drop them off at the Assemblyman's office located at: 9909 Mira Mesa Blvd, Suite 103 in Mira Mesa through the end of May, or you can bring them to the upcoming Rancho Bernardo Community Council meeting on Thursday, May 24, 7 p.m., at the Oaks North Community Center, 12578 Oaks North Drive, San Diego. You may also contact the Rancho Bernardo Community Council for pick up of donated items by emailing RBCommCouncil@aol.com
