JANUARY 30, 2014 SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - EXUSMED™, a corporation offering affordable mobile health care solutions for both patients and providers announced today that Bob Schuman, CEO of The Schuman Group, has joined the corporation’s advisory council.

Schuman has more than a quarter-century of senior-level, public affairs, communication and political, governmental and professional industry experience. Nationally networked with public officials, corporate executives, activists and journalists, Schuman has served on more than 100 national, state and local political, public affairs and communication campaigns. Schuman has led public affairs programs for several Fortune 500 companies in the transportation, pharmaceutical, land use, energy, utility, and retail and consumer products industries.

"I am delighted that Bob Schuman has agreed to be part of EXUSMED’s advisory council," said A. Latham Staples, EXUSMED president and CEO. “America is going through extraordinary changes and advances in health care,” said Schuman. “I’m excited to be part of a company that is utilizing technology in a way it has never been used before to help people have better access to health care and better encounters with medical practitioners.”

A pilot program, launching in early 2014 will have more than 800 participating physicians providing care to approximately 1,500 patients throughout Southern California. EXUSMED's programs, available to consumers in the summer of 2014 will provide improved outpatient continuity-of-care with the patient's own health care provider through on-demand, real-time mobile health care technology encounters. This will allow for more convenient and flexible care, decreasing wait room times and accelerating diagnosis and treatment.
