Prop 38 makes schools a priority again. Share with your friends and family the benefits and the guarantees of Proposition 38. Here are some simple tips you can use to help spread the word.



You are probably like me, checking your Facebook regularly to connect with old friends, looking at photos and "Liking" posts about topics important to you. Have you noticed election-related posts in your Facebook feed lately?

 

The 2012 elections will be the most "social" in history with more people on social media platforms than ever before. The New York Times recently reported that social networks can affect voter turnout.

 

Your friends and family need to hear how Prop 38 makes schools a priority again from a trusted source – you. You can cut through the noise and highlight the importance of starting to restore the budget cuts so schools can rehire teachers and provide a well-rounded education that includes art, music, gym, sciences, technical education and college preparation.

Use the campaign's benefits calculator and insert how much funding your local school or district will receive into the following post and copy and paste it into your Facebook status:

Regarding Patch's response to this comment: A 'typo' is when someone hits the wrong key on theRead More keyboard, like typing "Democrut" or "Demacrat." Calling a Democrat a Republican is a MISTAKE and party affiliation is very easy to check check these days. Maybe this is just a "blog," I'm not sure. But if it's a "news site", and the people writing stories are purporting to be "journalists" or "reporters" could easily do better and should do so. Let's not minimize a factual error in a "news" story as a "typo."
