Academy of Indian Music presents -- Sitar Concert by Ustad Shahid Parvez

Academy of Indian Music, San Diego proudly presents Sitar concert by Ustad Shahid Parvez.  He is world renowned sitar maestro from the famous Etawah Gharana. He is a top Grade artist of A.I.R. and a recipient of numerous national and international awards.  He is accompanied by Abhijeet Banerjee on Tabla. Abhijeet Banerjee is an "A" grade artist of All India Radio for more than last eight years. He has toured extensively all over the globe with stalwart artists from India and also as a Solo Performer.

Next segment of this concert is a vocal hindustani classical music by Sudakshina Alagia.  She is a classical singer, performing artist and teacher of hindustani vocal music from San Diego.  She was the lead singer for "Geet Gobindam"  that won the prestigious Lester Horton award at the "Sacred Music Festival of 2008".

Note: Food will be catered by Copper Chimney and it can be purchased from 6pm to 7pm.
