The location is listed on the back of the Sample Ballot and Voter Information Pamphlet sent to your home or you can use the polling place locator online. Type in your address and click submit to find your neighborhood polling place. You can also view your sample ballot online.

If you typically vote by mail but haven’t sent it off, you will need to drop off your ballot at a polling place or the Registrar of Voters office. A postmark by Election Day alone is not acceptable – the ballots must be in hand before the polls close.  

The vote-by-mail ballot can be dropped off at any one of 573 polling places in the City of San Diego for the mayoral contest or any of the eight polling places in Solana Beach for the Proposition B contest.  

You can also take the mail ballot and vote in person at the Registrar’s new office. It moved to 5600 Overland Ave., San Diego, 92123. Voters can cast ballots between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.   

“So far, we have received 165,930 out of 355,771 mail ballots that were sent to voters. They’re being sorted and scanned now so they’ll be ready to count right when the polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day Tuesday.” said Registrar of Voters Michael Vu.

For voters who need language assistance, election materials are also available in Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese and Chinese.
