Welcome to Rancho Bernardo Patch

A new site for news, information and insight into your community.

Welcome to Rancho Bernardo Patch!

It's been months in the making, and I'm excited that the site—hopefully your new first-stop for community news—is up and running.

My name is Shauntel Lowe and I'm the editor of RB Patch. That means, if you have a story idea, an announcement, event or news tip, you can call me or post them yourself. That also means you'll be seeing me (and RB Patch writers) around the community.

Already I've popped up at a Fired Up Sisters event, where I got to hear the stories of several people who lost their homes in the 2007 fires. Like Bobbie Davis, who laughs when she tells how she tried to save her shoes.

I've also stopped by the Webb Park Farmers Market for its grand reopening, where I watched as community and city leaders sliced through a red ribbon to celebrate the event.

If you missed me there, you'll find me somewhere else soon.

What makes Patch great is its focus on communities that often don't get as much in-depth coverage as its residents want and need. I want to work with you to change that.

Again, welcome to the site and feel free to e-mail me at shauntel.lowe@patch.com or call me at 858-204-6941 any time!
