Who takes care of you when you’re spending all your time taking care of someone else? It’s a problem for many caregivers, and one that adds to the stress of taking care of someone else 24 hours a day.
Here’s some help: a series of free webinars for caregivers is being offered on Fridays during lunch hours and here’s the best part—caregivers can watch and participate in the 45-minute webinar from any computer or mobile device that has access to the Internet.
These webinars are being offered by the San Diego Health and Human Services Agency Aging & Independence Services, in conjunction with the Caregiver Coalition of San Diego.
Adult children of aging parents, spouses caring for loved ones, seniors and professionals in the field of aging are all encouraged to watch and participate in the interactive webinars that begin on Fridays at noon. They run from Feb. 15 to March 29:
Feb. 22 – Technology and the Aging Population – Ferdie Villegas, Phillips Home Monitoring
March 1 – Vision Loss and Your Loved One: What Can You Do? – Barbara Runco, SD Center for the Blind
March 8 – Mom or Dad Needs to Move: What Do I Do About Their House? – Valerie Upham, Pacific Sothby's International Realty
March 15 – Avoiding Financial Scams – Lois Kelly, Attorney at Law
March 29 – Palliative Care: What Everyone Needs to Know – Helen McNeal, ED, CSU, San Marcos Institute for Palliative Care
