Theater Shooting Suspect Holmes Enters Insanity Plea

James Holmes is accused of killing 12 people at a Colorado movie theater in July 2012.

James Holmes, the former Westview High School student accused of killing 12 people in a Colorado movie theater last summer, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity on Tuesday, according to the New York Times.

Holmes, 25, is facing 166 counts of murder, attempted murder and other charges, according to the Times.
