Scream Zone Deals to Die For

The Del Mar “Scaregrounds” is offering 50 percent off ($14) on the Triple Haunt on Opening Night, Sept. 30.

Parents and teens: Are you ready for your annual fix of ghouls, zombies and monsters? Well, it's time to head over to Del Mar Fairgrounds’ annual Scream Zone, one of the largest and scariest haunted attractions in San Diego.

They have deal that is to DIE for, too! The Del Mar “Scaregrounds” is offering 50 percent off ($14) the Triple Haunt on Opening Night on Friday. This includes the House of Horror, Haunted Hayride and the Chamber, which is a suspenseful spinning tunnel.

Tickets are available only at the Scream Zone box office at the Fairgrounds. For other days, save yourself the hassle of waiting in line and pre-purchase your tickets through Admit One Products. If you can’t make it on Opening Night, consider going at a group discounted rate, but note that the deadline is Sept. 30. 


Triple (Combo) Haunt: House of Horror, Haunted Hayride an the Chamber — $27.99.

Double Haunt: The Chamber plus House of Horror or Haunted Hayride — $18.99.

Single Haunt: House of Horror or Haunted Hayride — $14.99.

There is no cost to enter the complex.

Drinks and food vendors will be available.

Parking is free in the designated Scream Zone parking lot. Enter through the Solana Gate on Via de la Valle, between the Coast Highway and Jimmy Durante Boulevard.

2011 Dates:

  • Friday, Sept. 30, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2 
  • Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 6-9
  • Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 13-16
  • Every night, Oct. 20-31

2011 Times:

  • 7 p.m. to midnight, Fridays and Saturdays
  • 7 to 11 p.m., other days
