The average price is seven cents more than one week ago and 72.3 cents above what it was this time last year, but 8.2 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has increased 7.2 cents over the past nine days, including 1 cent on Sunday. The average price decreased 26 times in 27 days before the increases began Oct. 9, falling 17.7 cents over that span.
