Record Thanksgiving Day Gas Prices in San Diego County

Even amid declining prices, Thursday's average marked a record for San Diego County.

Despite 15 consecutive decreases, including 1.6 cents on Thursday, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County was at a record high for Thanksgiving, $3.732.

The average price is 57.9 cents more than a year ago, but 6.8 cents less than one week ago and 12.9 cents lower than a month ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped 11.9 cents over the past 15 days, including 1.2 cents on Wednesday, and is at its lowest amount since Aug. 23.
