Rancho Bernardo Volunteers Needed for 'Red Shoe Day' Fundraiser June 27

Volunteers are needed to man intersections to collect cash donations during the morning commute. The donations will help in supporting families with a critically ill or injured child being treated at local hospital.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego is gearing up for the annual Red Shoe Day fundraiser on June 27 and they need 1,500 volunteers from all over San Diego County to help make the day a success.

Volunteers are needed to man intersections to collect cash donations during the morning commute. The donations will help in supporting families with a critically ill or injured child being treated at local hospital.

In Rancho Bernardo, volunteers are needed at the following intersections:

Rancho Bernardo Heights Parkway and Paseo Lucido

Camino del Norte / Paseo Lucido and Carmel Mountain Road

Other locations throughout San Diego can be found here: https://www.rmhcsd.org/redshoeday/registration/individual

Businesses, families, groups and individuals can form teams or join existing teams to participate in one of the most energetic fundraisers in the county.

Donning festive attire and carrying iconic red shoes, Red Shoe Day volunteers will be stationed at major intersections to collect cash donations.

Those who are unable to volunteer at an intersection can support San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House by donating on June 27 or creating a personal fundraising page to collect online donations from friends and families.

More than 12,500 family members visit the Ronald McDonald House each year to receive meals, lodging and other supportive services.

The respite provided by the Ronald McDonald House enables families suffering medical crises to focus their energy on helping their sick or injured child heal.

Visit www.RMHCSD.org/RedShoeDay to register as a volunteer or set up a personal fundraising page to help support Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego.
