New Storm Moving In

Heavy rain is expected, beginning Wednesday afternoon.

A late season storm will move into San Diego County on Wednesday, with the heaviest precipitation this evening, forecasters said.

Though the center of the storm is not expected over the region until tonight, some showers will likely break out during the afternoon, ahead of the system, according to the National Weather Service. Thunderstorms are also possible, it said.

Rainfall totals around the county will range from a half-inch to an inch- and-a half, but heavier downpours are possible in some areas, to the weather service.
