This Week

  • The Poway Unified school board is scheduled to meet at 6 tonight at the district office, 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego. One agenda item in particular—cutting non-teaching employees' work year by eight days—. See our for more on the meeting.

  • Sentencing is set for Friday in the fatal drunken driving case of Anthony Guarino, Jr. In January, Guarino was found guilty  of gross vehicular manslaughter in the death of RB's Marc Durham. .
  • Daylight saving time begins Sunday. This time we "spring forward."
  • National Weather Service Forecast: Chance of showers Monday, but otherwise expected to be sunny with temperatures in the mid-70s this week.
