Potholes, great kids and sunny days.

Here's a look back at the weekend, with a preview of the coming week:

  • The Super Bowl was Sunday between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Green Bay won, but there were several other storylines at the game which we highlight for you . You can also check out our . There's no reason you can't make them another day!

This Week

  • The San Diego City Council on Monday is expected to consider spending $2.5 million resurfacing city streets. Councilman Carl DeMaio, who represents Rancho Bernardo in District 5, has said that potholes and street conditions are what he hears about most from constituents in Rancho Bernardo. The rains in December gave rise to more potholes in RB. Here are some on how to deal with them as you drive.
  • The Poway Unified School District Board of Education is set to meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the district office, 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego.
  • We're still looking for suggestions of awesome RB kids who deserve a moment in the spotlight! Last week, we introduced our new "Whiz Kids" feature where we point out youth in the community who are doing great things.   • Voting for the design of the new RB welcome sign ends Friday. See the designs and vote at RefreshRB.com.
  • Forecast: The rest of the week is expected to be breezy and sunny, with highs in the mid-70s, though Tuesday will be a bit foggy, according to the National Weather Service.
