This Week

  • The Poway Unified School District Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Monday at 15250 Avenue of Science. On the agenda: school boundary changes.
  • San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio is hosting a town hall on trash collection services from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Oaks North Community Center, 12578 Oaks North Dr.
  • The Hats Off to Volunteers recognition event is set for Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Webb Park on Bernardo Center Drive. More than 60 local volunteers will be honored by city and community leaders.
  • National Weather Service forecast: Alternating between sunny and foggy, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s by the end of the week.
