Gas Prices on the Rise in San Diego County

After falling for weeks on end, gas prices are heading back up.

Gas prices are tiptoeing back toward $4 per gallon after a sprint in the opposite direction.

The average price of a gallon of gas in San Diego County rose for the third day in a row Monday to $3.771, a seven-tenths of a cent increase, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. Prices had fallen 60 times in the previous 63 days.

The ARCO station at the corner of Rancho Bernardo Road and Bernardo Center Drive has the cheapest gallon of gas in RB at $3.65, according to GasBuddy.com.

The county's average price is the same as one week ago, 16.5 cents lower than one month ago and 60.6 cents higher than one year ago.

Average gas prices hadn't risen for three consecutive days since an eight-day streak from April 29 to May 6.
