Gas Prices Continue to Drop

Gas prices have fallen for 31 consecutive days.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County decreased Thursday for the 31st consecutive day, falling 2.3 cents to $3.911, the lowest amount since Aug. 8.

The average price has dropped 81.4 cents over the past 31 days, including 2.1 cents on Wednesday, after rising 54.7 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.725 on Oct. 8, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 15.7 cents less than one week ago and 81.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 6 cents higher than one year ago.
