Gas Price Drop Continues

Average prices have fallen for 37 days.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County decreased Wednesday for the 37th consecutive day, falling 1.2 cents to $3.846, its lowest amount since Aug. 3.

The average price has dropped 87.9 cents over the past 36 days, including one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday, after rising 54.7 cents over the previous six days to a record high of $4.725 on Oct. 8, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 8.8 cents less than one week ago and 80.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 1.9 cents more than one year ago.
