Family Hosts Fundraiser for Missing Michelle Le

The Mt. Carmel High School grad has been missing since late May.

A fundraiser to support a continuing search for missing nursing student Michelle Le will be held Friday in Hayward, CA.

The fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Sizzler’s restaurant, 24107 Hesperian Blvd., Hayward.

Approximately 20 percent of the day’s profits will go toward the family’s search campaign for Le, said Krystine Dinh, Le’s cousin and a family spokesperson, in an email.

To participate, guests who dine are asked to present a “MISSING” flier of Le or let the server or hostess know about Le’s case.

The family is also planning two search parties, tentatively scheduled for July 15 and 16, while a fundraiser car wash is planned from noon to 6 p.m. on July 29 at Sizzler.

Le, 26, who most recently lived in San Mateo but graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, was last seen about 7 p.m. May 27 while attending clinical rotations at the Kaiser Medical Center in Hayward. Classmates said she stepped out to grab something from her car, which was parked in the garage next to the hospital. She never returned.

Though Hayward police investigators have , her family continues to hold hope for her safe return. Last month, relatives in Rancho Peñasquitos.

Le is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. The Hayward Police Department has set up a tip line for anyone with information that could help with the case. That number is 510-293-5051.
