This is the second time within weeks - first time there was an underground issue now it's the overhead system. Is SDG&E using certain communities that they know won't or can't speak up for themselves to cut back on usage? Similarly as the City took advantage of seniors in RB to stop picking up their trash because they were easy marks? It's bad enough that RB can't get any upgraded lighting from the City program that's ongoing throughout the rest of the city because of the Palomar telescope. Palomar is funded by Caltech which surpassed Harvard as the highest funded school by the Feds so why don't they take the money and move the telescope further from the areas where people live and develop land. What benefit is this telescope to society anyway - nothing's changed in the solar system - there just sitting around collecting checks from our taxes and then run down to our Planning Group meetings to tell us we can't upgrade our lighting so then we lose more government money.) And yet, other newer developments in the area have put in higher lumen light fixtures so why is RB a doormat?
