North San Diego Farmers Market Canceled for May 29

A poor weather forecast pushed managers to cancel the market early Sunday morning.

The has been canceled for May 29.

In an email blast early Sunday morning, market co-managers Claire Winnick and Richard Knudson said a rainy forecast prompted the change.

"This is not a decision the co-managers have taken lightly, but is in the best interest of safety," the email read.

Sunday's market also was scheduled to host a Jewelry Extravaganza, one of its theme weeks. That theme will next come July 31, according to the email.

The market—formerly held at Webb Park in Rancho Bernardo—typically hosts around 30 to 40 vendors and farmers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Managers expect to hold the market next Sunday, June 5.
