Miss Your Grilled Onion Dog? Barons Has Good News for You

What happened when a local market decided to discontinue a summertime grilling event that had become a customer favorite?

According to the folks at Barons, cutting off their grilled onion hot dogs got the company into quite a pickle with its clientele that resulted in store managers fielding dozens of calls each week from people wanting to know when the tasty treats would be available again—only to be disappointed to learn their taste buds wouldn't be tingling any time soon.

Barons marketing manager Rachel Shemirani said in a press release that the company had its reasons for dropping the foodie event—hot days, long waits, and the labor required to grill the onions—but came to realize the customer is always right.

If you're among the Barons faithful who have missed the store's heavenly hot dog hit, you'll be glad to know the grilled onion dog will be served up from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays beginning June 15, at the Rancho Bernardo (11828 Rancho Bernardo Road) and Point Loma stores.

Barons will offer the hot dogs each Saturday through the summer, according to the press release. The cost is $3, and includes a drink.
