Rancho Bernardo’s Marriott Courtyard has a question for its guests.
“Wouldn't you like to know that your seat is made from responsibly harvested wood with toxic-free materials that is manufactured right in our back yard?”
The hotel, at 11611 Bernardo Plaza Court, San Diego, now assures everyone that indeed they are environmentally responsible. The recently renovated facility is touting its participation in the MindClick Global Rest Better Sustainability Program.
“As a Marriott International brand, Courtyard places a high precedent on sustainability," Mari Snyder, vice president Social Responsibility & Community Engagement is quoted by the Travel Daily News.
. “Partnering with MindClick Global to launch the Rest Better program at our renovated hotel in Rancho Bernardo goes hand-in-hand with Marriott’s ‘Spirit to Preserve’philosophy and demonstrates the ways we are taking better care of our guests and the environment through our purchasing choices.”
With people are more environmentally conscious, the hotel set out to create an atmosphere that would reassure its guests the location was reducing its environmental impacts during its most recent renovation, according to information on it’s websites.
Among the features was “furniture made from 100 percent biodegradable material can be composted at end of its lifespan,” according to the Rest Better Facebook Page.
For guests, hotel officials said they included bedding, draperies and shower curtains made of skin friendly materials.
