Acutus Medical Announces $28M in Funding

Acutus Medical, Inc. has announced that it raised $28 million in Series B funding led by new support from OrbiMed Advisors, LLC along and GE Ventures.
The Rancho Bernardo-area company started in 2011 is developing a minimally invasive cardiac catheter to treat irregular heart rhythms and will use the funding for product development, clinical trials, regulatory approvals and early commercialization, according to the announcement.
The company is located at 10840 Thornmint Rd. in 4S Ranch and has 25 employees.
