The Rancho Penasquitos Town Council hosted the 18th annual Fiesta de los Penasquitos on Sunday in the Vons parking lot on Black Mountain Road.

The celebration boasted more than two blocks of vendors, carnival games, rides and other booths. The festival also featured traditional Mexican dancers and a classic car show, which is new this year.

Also, to fit the this year's theme, "Picturesque Penasquitos," a photo and poster contest were hosted and the winning pieces were displayed throughout the fair. The 2013 Poster Contest winner was Nathan Chuang from Park Village Elementary.
